Bonnie Keen is a founding member of the critically acclaimed recording trio First Call. Over a span
of twenty plus years she has been awarded three Dove Awards, five Grammy nominations, and an Emmy
nomination for her work as a recording artist, author and speaker. Penning several number one
contemporary christian songs with First Call, she has recently covered new ground as a solo artist writing
for her three cds: Marked for Life, God of Many Chances and her latest 2007 release
of Evidence of Love.
"As a survivor of divorce, single parenthood, and clinical depression, Bonnie’s story has graced the
covers of Today’s Christian Woman and Virtue magazine."
As a survivor of divorce, single parenthood, and clinical depression, Bonnie’s story has graced the
covers of “Today’s Christian Woman” and “Virtue” magazine. Her
first three books allowed her the chance to speak hope to others from her first hand experience of
God’s mercy to messy situations. Blessed Are the Desperate, God Loves Messy People and
A Ladder Out of Depression openly reveal Bonnie’s journey from despair to hope. Her
ongoing passion remains to say ‘do not give up’ to hopeless people of faith who may find
themselves discouraged when life turns upside down.
As a multidimensional communicator, using interactive video, music and speaking, her testament of
God’s faithfulness has taken her on various media tours including appearances on The 700 Club,
100 Huntley Street, TBN, Moody Broadcasting, and The James Robison Show.
As a sought after keynote speaker Bonnie blends music with her message and nothing brings her more joy than
allowing her story to bring healing.
Bonnie lives with her ‘miracle’ Brent (a five time Grammy award winning, horse-loving, Renaissance
husband) on their farm outside of Franklin Tennessee. Her children, Courtney and
Graham continue to follow their dreams both in Tennessee and New York. One could say
“Bonnie’s suitcase is never far from the door.”
